Nutrient Management Plans (NMP)
NMP are very similar to a NMS except they are more intensive. A plan is made for each nutrient unit generated on the farm and how it will be applied to the fields in the farm unit. (What is a farm unit? Click Here to visit the OMAFRA website) If you don’t have enough land to spread all the manure you can always create a manure transfer agreement between neighbours or brokers. Soil samples will be taken from each field and sent for analysis to be input in the NMP to provide an accurate depiction of the field. All this information will be gathered and compiled to be submitted to OMAFRA to review.
You may need to complete a Nutrient Management Plan if
